Arrymo River is a Chokari, an uplifted Dolphin species native to Foelen, was accidentally signing up for a clinical trial at a Zhodani psionic research facility on Foelen. Hana Suzuki who was stationed on Foelen at the time had become friends with Arrymo, and, upon hearing him tell her about his plan to take part in the trials, she helped him understand what the Zhodani really do that facility, causing him to change his mind about going along. The two have remained in contact since, communication via occasional mail on the X-Boat network.
